Join Community

Community Health Network was created by our neighbors, for our neighbors. Over 60 years later, “community” is still the heart of our organization. It means providing our neighbors with the best care possible, backed by state-of-the-art technology. It means getting involved in the communities we serve through volunteer opportunities and benefits initiatives. It means ensuring our dedicated caregivers can learn and grow to stay at the top of their fields and to better serve our patients. And above all, it means exceptional care, simply delivered — and we couldn’t do it without you.

Make a Difference

The Communications Distribution Designer will be responsible for the discovery, design, engineering, cost estimation, and project management of layer one structured cabling systems. The Communications Distribution Designer evaluates system infrastructure enhancements requested through anything from ticket work to small, medium, and large-scale projects. The Communications Distribution Designer often works closely with Facilities Directors and Managers, Facilities Project Managers, IT Project Managers, project general contractors, and electrical contractors. This role requires extensive working knowledge of CAT3, CAT5, CAT5E, CAT6, CAT6A, security related cabling, fiber optics, coax, fire rated pathways, life safety standards, TIA/EIA standards, and BICSI standards. This role also requires an understanding of electrical power and uninterruptable power supplies. The Communications Distribution Designer helps to identify and discover scope, develop bid specifications, obtains project quotes from contractors, generates ticket and project cost estimations, schedules work, coordinates work in progress, and works to complete projects in order to meet deadlines. Work assignments cover a vast central Indiana territory, anywhere from the town of Marion to Bloomington, and this role is expected to be able to be mobile at any given moment for project assignments, tickets, or incidents.
