Community Bariatric Hamilton

Bariatric Services offers free surgical weight loss information sessions for individuals interested in learning more about bariatric surgery. This class reviews the anatomy of the surgery, diet plan, lifestyle changes post-surgery, and a forum for you to ask questions.

Patients interested in the Lap Band System® and Orbera® should attend one of the Community Hamilton Pavilion sessions.

Community South - If you are a potential surgery patient, the session could last up to 3 hours.

The AARP Smart Driver Program recognizes the need to help older adults improve their skills and prevent traffic accidents. The Driver Safety Program is offered to all motorists ages 50 and older. The 4-hour classroom refresher was the first and now the largest, nationwide comprehensive curriculum designed especially for older motorists. Course does not provide BMV credit towards points on license. Fee: $15 per AARP Member or $20 Per Non-AARP Member, please bring payment to class. Lunch provided.

This class meets one evening per week for 4 weeks. It is recommended for all first-time moms and dads/partners. The RN educator will cover the labor and birth process, relaxation and comfort, pain medication options, postpartum and newborn care. A tour of the maternity unit is included in this class, please do not register for a tour separately.

This presentation provides guidance to families who may be facing a long term care crisis and need to know what benefits are available to them.

Learn tips to help prevent a burglary by the MOST group. MOST is led by community prosecutors who proactively address burglary-related crimes through prosecution and prevention initiatives. They teach the concept of Crime Prevention through Environmental Design, CPTED, as well as giving prevention tips for burglary and auto theft. They also talk about prevention tips and things that we have learned from actual burglars.

This 2 1/2 hour class is for future parents, parents and grandparents. It is an American Heart Association Family & Friends course, taught by an AHA certified instructor. The hands-on instruction covers infant, child and adult CPR. Additional take-home materials from the American Academy of Pediatrics on the subject of Safety and Prevention are included.
