Bariatric Services offers free surgical weight loss information sessions for individuals interested in learning more about bariatric surgery. This class reviews the anatomy of the surgery, diet plan, lifestyle changes post-surgery, and a forum for you to ask questions.

Patients interested in the LapBand procedure should attend one of the Community Hamilton Pavilion sessions.

Note: Community South only - If you are a potential surgery patient the session could last up to 3 hours.

Trying to help your aging parents reduce Medicare costs but don't understand Medigap or Medicare Advantage? A SHIP representative will explain the A, B, C, and D's of Medicare; how to enroll, coverage and costs, and important questions to ask. SHIP (State Health Insurance Assistance Program) is Medicare's free and unbiased official counseling and information service.

This 2 1/2 hour class is for future parents, parents and grandparents. It is an American Heart Association Family & Friends course, taught by an AHA certified instructor. The hands-on instruction covers infant, child and adult CPR. Additional take-home materials from the American Academy of Pediatrics on the subject of Safety and Prevention are included.

Know the 10 Signs of Alzheimer's Disease provides attendees with an understanding of the difference between age-related memory loss and Alzheimer's and what to do if they or someone they know has signs of the disease. Attendees will view video footage of real people who are living with the early stages of dementia and their families addressing fears and myths associated with Alzheimer's disease.

This class meets one evening per week for 4 weeks. It is recommended for all first-time moms and dads/partners. The RN educator will cover the labor and birth process, relaxation and comfort, pain medication options, postpartum and newborn care. A tour of the maternity unit is included in this class, please do not register for a tour separately.

We will travel to beautiful Nappanee, IN, home of Amish Acres and the Red Barn Theatre. We will enjoy a home style Amish lunch followed but a showing of the musical drama, "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change". You will have time to stop at the bakery and more to bring home goodies. Transportation, lunch and show fare are included. Charter bus pick-up locations in Indianapolis and Anderson will be designated 2 weeks prior to departure date. Trip supported by Westminster Village North.
