The Manager has accountability for the centralized services unit and demonstrates leadership skills in education, practice, and operations and ensures the appropriate clinical and research outcomes and efficient, effective team processes

Exceptional Skills and Qualifications 
Applicants for this position should be able to collaborate with others in a team setting, have excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude toward problem-solving. 
•    2 year / Associate Degree : Also, Graduation from accredited RN nursing degree program and/or accredited related bachelor’s degree program if applicable (Required) 
•    Must be certified within three (3) years from hire by (Certified Clinical Research Associate (CCRA - ACRP), Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC-ACRP) Required 
•    5+ years: Requires one (1) of the following: 1) Bachelors degree or associate degree and a minimum of five (5) years clinical research experience OR equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience. Management Experience Preferred. (Required) 
•    Manages day-to-day operations of the research department/unit and prepares reports on research and operational activities.  
•    Ensure that department meets budget, timelines and expectations for unit.  
•    Facilitates effective study operations  
•    Assists in identifying and selecting trials by reviewing and evaluating all new protocols to determine the feasibility of conducting the study.  
•    Serves as a resource and expert on clinical research issues for the unit.  
•    Monitors adherence to research protocols and ensures that research activities are performed in accordance with Good Clinical Practice standards, policies and regulations. 
•    Monitors the progress of study timelines and key milestones for all studies  
•    Coordinates and organize the required activities for the study and investigator visits and meetings.  
•    Facilitates staff development and empowerment of staff  
•    Ensures staff competency with position, protocols, policies/procedures and good clinical practice guidelines  
•    Mentors staff through performance feedback processes.  
•    Develops departmental goals, sets priorities and independently ensures goals are met.  
•    Sets priorities and facilitates the appropriate utilization of human, financial and material resources.  
•    Responsible for staff communication and departmental meetings. Interviewing and hiring. Scheduling and staffing. Peer evaluation process. Disciplinary actions. Participates in strategic planning
