Susan joined the Community Health Network team as a genetic counselor in Maternal-Fetal Medicine in November 2012. She received her bachelor of arts degree from DePauw University in 2007 with a major in biology and minor in religious studies. After college, she worked as a documentation chemist in quality control at Schwarz Pharma. Susan completed her master of science degree in medical and molecular genetics from Indiana University School of Medicine in 2010.
She is board certified through the American Board of Genetic Counseling and is licensed in the state of Indiana. She is a member of the National Society of Genetic Counselors and Indiana Network of Genetic Counselors. Prior to joining Community Health Network, Susan worked at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center as a genetic counselor in medical genetics clinics, outreach clinics, prenatal, and specialty clinics such as spina bifida, connective tissue disorders, and skeletal dysplasias.
