Indianapolis—More central Indiana neighborhoods now have access to affordable, convenient every day care thanks to an ongoing collaboration between Community Health Network and Walgreens.
Community Clinic at Walgreens is now open at 12 Walgreens locations in central Indiana including Beech Grove, Carmel, Greenwood, Mooresville, Avon and Indianapolis, extending and complementing Community’s more than 200 sites of care in that region.
Walgreens leaders joined Community Health Network leaders at a celebration at Community Clinic at Walgreens in Beech Grove Wednesday afternoon.
Staffed by Community Health Network highly qualified and caring nurse practitioners, Community Clinic at Walgreens treats minor illnesses and injuries, aches and coughs as well as helps manage chronic conditions. Physicals and vaccinations are also available.
The new clinics cater to busy lifestyles with walk-in appointments or same-day scheduling seven days a week, including evenings.
Access to Community is easier than ever for those wishing to establish primary care relationships.
In December 2016, Community Health Network’s retail pharmacy operations opened under Walgreens ownership at three Community Hospital locations, giving patients and Community Health Network employees easier access to affordable healthcare and pharmacy services.
Walgreens and Community Health Network also formed a collaborative council to share best practices and experiences that aim to improve patient care, quality and satisfaction while reducing health care costs through new models and by leveraging digital platforms.
