Intake and Admissions at Community Fairbanks

Below is the general process for admissions to Community Fairbanks Recovery Center. Patients will meet with a counselor and receive a treatment plan before beginning the recovery journey. Throughout the journey, patients will receive ongoing support as well as follow-up during the important first year of recovery.

Admissions Process

Appointments are recommended for admissions; same-day appointments are available.

Walk-ins are accepted for non-emergency medical conditions only. For psychiatric or other health emergencies, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.

Admissions sessionStep 1: Meet with a counselor

Before receiving treatment at Fairbanks, all prospective patients meet with a certified counselor for an assessment of health and substance use history.

Step 2: Receive treatment plan

Based on that assessment, you or your loved one will receive our recommended, personalized course for the most effective treatment plan, which can include inpatient, outpatient or any combination of our programs.

Step 3: Start the journey to recovery

Once admitted into a program, we will do everything we can to ensure customized treatment is well received and effective. Through our continuum of care, our staff and volunteers meet patients and their loved ones where they are on the journey to recovery. From inpatient detox to outpatient programming and beyond, we are with our patient every step of the way.

Step 4: Get ongoing support

Supporting loved ones while in treatment is an important part of our program. Fairbanks incorporates visitation with our family programs, which provides loved ones with information about addiction and recovery. Programming involves group therapy, education and support meetings facilitated by our expert staff.

Step 5: Follow up

The first year of recovery is a critical time. We provide group and individualized follow-up for those who have completed treatment.
