Knee doc looking at x-ray with patient

Orthopedic Knee Fellowship

Located in Indianapolis at Community Hospital East, this twelve-month fellowship has been designed to provide comprehensive exposure to the clinical and surgical aspects of treating knee conditions and injuries. The fellow will draw on the expertise of skilled orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists and athletic trainers to work collaboratively in developing a treatment plan for each patient from initial assessment through rehabilitation and recovery.

This fellowship opportunity places a dual emphasis on providing concentrated experience with treatment of sports injuries, soft tissue related knee injuries and non-operative and total knee arthroplasty treatment for osteoarthritis. Additional emphasis will be placed on clinical research of both non-operative and surgical outcomes. The fellow will participate as a team member in the operative room, enabling exposure to perioperative care management and decision making. Additionally, the fellow will be a member of our research committee where they will have access to our extensive clinical database and participate in developing, analyzing and interpreting research, as well as manuscript and presentation development. This opportunity will allow the fellow to see the research process from start to finish.
