Hobbies/Interests: Having spent most of my adult life traveling the world, for now my interests are staying home, reading, gardening and exploring Indianapolis! I love being active in my community by participating in events and volunteering in outreach programs. My primary health interests are reproductive health, preventive medicine and working with underserved populations.

Hobbies/Interests: My medical interests include integration of mental health and primary care services in outpatient and inpatient (state psychiatric hospitals) settings, primary care procedures, aviation medicine, addiction medicine, and the use of motivational interviewing to promote behavioral change. Non-medical interests include learning new languages, exploring new restaurants, traveling and aviation.

Hometown: Newport News, Virginia
Hobbies/Interests: I love dancing! I was classically trained from 3-18 and then joined a contemporary dance company in New Orleans during college. I also enjoy everything outdoors, especially when I can bring my two dogs along. My husband and I LOVE trying out new places to eat, gym workouts (because we love to eat), and watching and attending sports events. We are excited to explore the Midwest!

Hobbies/Interests: I enjoy cooking new recipes and baking “healthified” desserts, reading page-turners with shocking twists on my Kindle, spending time with my boyfriend and my cat, Lizzy, and binging on Netflix in my free time. As an Indy local I am happy to be able to stay here for my residency training with the best hospital network in the area!

Hobbies/Interests: I enjoy cookouts, movie and game nights with friends and family, and outdoor activities such as golf, tennis, fishing, boating and water skiing. I am a huge sports fan, so I love doing fantasy football and watching the Colts and Pacers.

 

Cody Owens, DOCody Owens, DO

Hometown: Waldron, Indiana
Hobbies/Interests: I enjoy all things sports whether it be Purdue basketball/football (Boiler Up!), the Colts, the Pacers, or the Blackhawks. I grew up in a huge IndyCar household so if you need to find me in May, start looking at the track. I also enjoy spending time with my wife and dog, cycling, and going to plenty of concerts.

Hobbies/Interests: I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of Community Health Network. I enjoy spending time with my friends, family and dogs. I spend a lot of my free time playing recreational basketball, flag football, softball, exercising, traveling, going to concerts and playing guitar. My three favorite things in life are the outdoors, food and animals.

Hobbies/Interests: I love the city of Indianapolis and am very excited to be continuing my training at Community! l enjoy spending time with my husband and our young daughter and being involved within our church. I also have a big passion for weightlifting. A few specific interests I have within family medicine include preventive care, osteopathic manipulation, and addiction medicine. I really enjoy working with underserved communities and love to utilize my Spanish-speaking skills whenever possible.

Hobbies/Interests: In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities with my dog, relaxing with friends and family, and discovering new restaurants. I also like trying new recipes at home and love any excuse to listen to live music. My healthcare interests include preventive medicine, especially when it provides me the opportunity to involve not only the patient, but also their primary caregivers.
