David E. Carnovale, MD, Medical Director

David Carnovale, MD, fertility doctorDr. David Carnovale is the medical director of reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Community Health Network. He is board certified in obstetrics, gynecology, reproductive endocrinology and infertility. Prior to joining Community, Dr. Carnovale was the director of assisted reproductive technologies at Central Georgia Fertility Institute in Macon, Georgia for ten years. Under his direction at this facility, the first children in Central Georgia were conceived and born through in vitro fertilization (IVF), sperm injection, and frozen embryo transfer.

He completed his undergraduate work at St. John’s University in Jamaica, New York and graduated from medical school at S.U.N.Y. Health Science Center in Brooklyn, New York. Following residency, he completed a two-year fellowship at the prestigious Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. Following his fellowship, he was appointed Director of Assisted Reproduction and Assistant Professor at East Tennessee State University's Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

In his spare time, he enjoys martial arts, pizza making, and travel with his family.

Rebecca C. Pierson, MD

Rebecca Pierson, MD, infertility doctorRebecca C. Pierson, MD, earned her medical degree from the University of Toledo College of Medicine (formerly the Medical College of Ohio), completed obstetrics and gynecology residency at Indiana University, and fellowships in clinical pharmacology at IU and reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the University of Louisville. Her undergraduate degree is from Denison University.

Dr. Pierson has a particular interest in educating women about reproductive health and sees patients with a variety of reproductive endocrinology health issues. She is interested in in vitro fertilization (IVF) and advanced fertility treatments, reproductive surgery and fertility preservation, and she welcomes patients who identify as LGBTQIA+. She has served in a wide range of healthcare environments.

She is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Memberships include the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine and the scientific research society Sigma Xi.

Dr. Pierson lives with her family in Indianapolis and when not practicing medicine enjoys knitting and gardening

Jeff Boldt, PhD, Laboratory Director

Jeff Boldt, PhD, IVF ManagerDr. Boldt is board certified as a High Complexity Laboratory Director in andrology and embryology by the American Board of Bioanalysis. He received a bachelor of arts degree in biology and his PhD degree in anatomy, both from SUNY-Buffalo. He completed a fellowship in reproductive physiology/IVF at University of Texas-Houston Medical School. He is on the faculty of Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine and the Indiana University School of Medicine.

He has a special interest in reproductive physiology, embryology and anatomy/physiology.

In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, reading and cheering on the Buffalo Bills.

Melissa Kuhns, RN

Melissa Kuhns, RNMelissa Kuhns, RN, holds a bachelor of science degree in nursing. She spent 12 years in an ICU setting before joining Fertility Specialty Care in 2016.

In her spare time, she enjoys camping, snow skiing, reading, running, and spending time with her husband and three sons.

Delaney Moore, RN

Delaney Moore, RN, fertility nurseDelaney Moore, RN, received her bachelor in nursing degree from Indiana University - Purdue University Indianapolis in 2013. She started her career in labor and delivery and worked inpatient night shift for seven years prior to coming to Community Fertility Specialty Care. She has a passion for patient care, specifically women’s health. It is her goal to help patients feel comfortable and confident with their care plan.

Outside the clinic, she enjoys a good run outdoors, reading and attending concerts. She also enjoys the wine and dine experiences of local restaurants and has a love for travel, especially international.

Jennifer Motley, RN

Jennifer Motley, RNAfter receiving a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Miami of Ohio, Jenn went back to school to pursue a nursing degree, which she earned locally at Ivy Tech. She began her nursing career in maternity services at Community Hospital North. She followed her love for women’s health and joined the Fertility Specialty Care team in the summer of 2021.

In her spare time, Jenn likes to spend time with her husband, two children and two golden retrievers.

Tammy Kerr, Patient Services Representative

Tammy KerrTammy is a patient services representative at Fertility Specialty Care. She joined Community in 2006 in patient access and moved to fertility services in 2008. She has a special interest in helping patients start their families.

In her spare time, she enjoys flower gardening, time at the beach, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Jodi Koesters, Practice Manager

Jodi Koesters, practice managerJodi is the practice manager at Fertility Specialty Care. She has more than 30 years of infertility experience. She is a member of the American Business Women’s Association.

In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, the holidays, cheering on the Indianapolis Colts and Indiana Pacers, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
