Breast Cancer Navigator, Community Cancer Center North

Michelle joined the Community Health Network team as a breast cancer nurse navigator at the north cancer center in 2021. She graduated from Austin Community College with her Associates of Science in Nursing in 1994. She began working in a busy outpatient oncology clinic and infusion center in Austin Texas, and focused on the GYN oncology team. In 1997, she began working in labor and delivery. This is where she developed a passion for women’s health, especially during pregnancy. In late 2000, her husband’s job brought them to Indiana and she began working at St. Vincent Women’s Hospital. In 2008, Michelle went back to school and graduated from Indiana University with her bachelor of science in nursing. She obtained her in-patient OB certification and worked on the high-risk OB transport team for six years. She left bedside nursing in 2019 and went back to an outpatient oncology infusion center, where she rediscovered her passion to care for cancer patients.

Michelle is from Houston, Texas and currently lives in Noblesville with her husband, daughter, and two cats. She loves to travel to new places and is currently trying to visit all 50 states. In her free time, Michelle loves to bake, craft, crochet, and spend time with her friends and family.
