Carrie Schroeder, R.N., named joint care coordinator at Community Hospital South

Indianapolis, IN---Carrie Schroeder, R.N., has been named joint care coordinator for the Center for Joint Health at Community Hospital South. In this role, she will provide patient and family education and manage individualized patient care for patients undergoing hip or knee joint replacement surgery.

“Carrie brings the perfect mix of experience, compassion and leadership to this role,” said Marcia Anness, R.N., director of the ortho-neuro-spine unit at Community Hospital South. “She will see patients and families through joint replacement surgery, from pre-op through recovery, ensuring seamless communication among the various members of our specialized care team.”

Schroeder has a bachelor of arts degree in sociology from Franklin College and a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Marian College. She is a member of the National Association of Orthopaedic Nurses and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. She has worked at Community Health Network since 2007.

The Center for Joint Health is a dedicated unit for hip and knee joint replacement patients that focuses on the entire patient experience.
