Our inpatient programs are designed for the individual who is medically stable, meets criteria for acute rehab admission, and can tolerate at least three hours of therapy a day. Rehabilitation is provided for individuals who have sustained physical and cognitive disabilities related to stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, neuromuscular diseases, orthopedics, amputations and related disorders.
All inpatients at Community Rehabilitation Hospital South are provided with a private room for comfort and privacy. The newly remodeled building enhances patient outcomes and provides the rehab team with access to the best tools in the area to deliver these services.
Our team is excited that you have chosen Community Rehabilitation Hospital South and wants your stay to be as comfortable as possible. We are different from a typical hospital, so we want to tell you a little about our program, our facility and what you can expect during your stay.
If you have any questions about your stay, please call us at 317-215-3800.
The goal of rehabilitation is to assist you in becoming as strong, safe and independent as possible while educating you and your family or other caregivers about your care. We will be supporting you as you learn to do daily activities for yourself.
Our goal is to provide excellent service. If at any time we have not met your expectations, we want to know. If you have questions about your experience or suggestions for making it better, please call 317-215-3800.
Community Rehabilitation Hospital South offers free monthly support groups for patients, families and caregivers dealing with spinal cord injury, stroke and amputation. Support groups encourage sharing of common concerns and goals in an atmosphere of camaraderie and friendship. Support groups are held at our sister hospital, Community Rehabilitation Hospital North.
There are a number of legal and financial issues that need to be addressed for persons with a brain injury, including care designations, disability claims, insurance coverage, workers compensation, and more. We have put together a list of common issues and some guidance on how to deal with them.
