Rev. Brian Williams is a program director in Lilly Endowment’s Religion and Community Development divisions.

A native of Cleveland, Rev. Williams previously served as a pastor in United Methodist congregations in North Carolina and Indiana, most recently at University United Methodist Church in Indianapolis. In his leadership of University United Methodist and during five years as pastor of mission and outreach at North United Methodist Church in Indianapolis, he was especially active in helping congregations develop ministries to serve their neighborhoods and in strengthening the work of many local community organizations across Indianapolis.

Rev. Williams earned a master of divinity degree from Duke Divinity School, an MBA from the University of Michigan and a bachelor of science degree in management and marketing from Purdue University.

Rev. Williams has served on the board of directors of Community Health Network since April 2014 and chairs the Network Equity & Governance Committee.
