Wonderful woman, and covers all the bases. She is very important to her profession.

She always smiles and puts me at ease and she discusses questions with me. I feel she cares and wants to make sure I understand my treatments. I was told in 2018 that I have the BRCA2 gene which increases my chance of getting breast cancer, ovarian cancer and melanoma by 50 to 80%. I have been able to establish a firm link to my paternal great grandmother for this. More importantly, I know that I will have an oncologist following me for the rest of my life. I want Dr. Parshad to be that oncologist.

Dr Shiroo Parshad made time to see me just hours after requested and gave a consise, but thorough and comprehensive interpretation of all CT and MRI scans, and blood test results and what they meant for cancer stage assessment, and provided coherent detailed probable treatments plans. She tracked down a Hepatologist to provide me with an immediate, second interpretation of liver biopsy and imaging. Dr Shiroo Parshad had blodd withdrawn for a PST test before I left which expedited a refined diagnosis and also had a PET scan scheduled for me before I left my appointment with her. She patiently listened and answered honestly questions from my wife and me. I have extremely high praise for her competence, articulation skills, attention, alacrity in resolving what she could during our visit. Dr Shiroo Parshad exudes integrity, competence, confidence, and concern for this patient, which was sincerely appreciated by my wife and me.

First time this has happened at any of my appts with her…..she was distracted. Her cell phone kept going off and she kept texting back in response. Maybe it was pt related, maybe very important family issue I don’t know. She apologized for late start of appt. stated scheduling staff had put in a pt that hadn’t been there 3 years as a 15 min visit when should have scheduled as a new pt allotting more time.

Dr. Parshad was very helpful. She tokk time to review my Cancer medical history and to provide me with potential options of treatment moving forward.

she immediately recommended iron intravenously,without suggesting increasing iron dosage first as a solution to my red blood cell drop over 3-5 years. no let’s try this before we discuss intravenous iron or blood transfusion as a remedy. Preferred instant quick fix versus over time approach.Didn’t suggest any other test to evaluate what is really happening. Went straight to a treatment plan before fully analyzing what the cause is/ root of the problem for the defienciency

SHE CARES

When I saw her she was very through and acted quickly to get my procedure done. I saw her on Tuesday and had biopsy on Friday. She was very professional and had a very good bedside manner.

Honest, upfront and listens.

Not pleased

The doctor needs to be clear with expectations. Not get upset or judgemental when I patient is asking questions about treatment. No one is going to be a better advocate for your health than yourself. Giving clear expectations and outcomes whether they be good or bad is part of the reason why you seek to speak to a specialist to begin with. I wasn't told about my diagnosis until after I had been to the ER multiple times and nearly died. I'm tired of hearing that I'm young because that shouldn't be a reason I don't get talked to the same as others. I pay to see the doctor and would expect to see her at least once in a while not some else for my appointments. She lacks empathy and only does so when she thinks you're going to die.

I have complete trust in the manner in which Dr. Parshad has cared for me following colon cancer diagnosis in 2019. Not only does her knowledge of what she is discussing with me clearly explained and understood, she leaves me with complete comfort of expectations. Two (2) of my close family members are also under the care of Dr. Parshad and they as welll have the same experiences and trust.

She takes time to explain my situation in very understandable terms.
