Eric James O'Banion, MD

We have had Dr. Obanion since we brought our son home from the Nicu. We trust his opinion and value his healthcare advice. He is very thorough, caring and goes over and beyond with our son. he is a wonderful pediatrician.

I think Dr. O'Banion has gotten to know Myles, and knows what to expect. I feel he has done this for so long that his opinions truly matter to me. Im very thankful for him treating my child and answering all of my questions.

My toddler acted like a terrorist for his entire visit. O'Banion was very calm about it and rolled with it even with it making his job quite a bit more difficult. I really appreciated him not getting overwhelmed or annoyed with my child

Dr. Obanion is truly the best! He has cared for our family for over a decade. He is always attentive to the kids needs and involves them in their appointments. We truly appreciate him and his knowledge!

Dr. O'Banion impressed us from the start as we were in the hospital with our brand new first baby. Now he's seeing our 4th child (so it's been almost a decade!) and he treats us like part of the family. He's always so easy to talk to and we love his sense of humor too!

Dr. O'Bannon doesn't just worry about the physical growth. He also worries about the mental and emotional growth of his patients. He approaches them in a laid back demeanor that gets through to them and makes sense.

Extremely nice & listened to our concerns. Didn’t rush the appointment, sat down and talked with us.

Overall our experience at Community Health has been wonderful. Although I felt Dr. O'Banion was slightly rude to myself (my child's mother). When were there because my child have been diagnosed with STREP a week prior, and she was still have pain in her throat. I wanted to make sure everything was alright. During the visit, Dr. O'Banion asked me if I smoked, I answered yes. He asked if I smoked around my child, to which I responded no as we live in a non-smoking residence. He then asked if I smoked in the car. I answered no. He more or less interrogated me about smoking when I told him specifically the first time, yes I smoke, but NOT around my child. It was as though he wanted my (an adult woman) smoking cigarettes to be the reason my child had STREP. I was not his patient, my child was. I felt the whole experience was rude and unprofessional. After I answered the question the first time the topic should have been dropped. He does well with children, but his beside manor could use some work.

During my son's 4 year old check up, Dr O'Bannion had my son lay on the table which kinda scared my little guy. Dr soon had my son laughing so hard when he was feeling his belly telling him that he thought he must of had a shark tooth sandwich for lunch because he could feel it in his tummy.

My child loves Dr. O’Banion. She says he is her milk dud she has said that since she was a baby we’re going to the milk dud Dr.she very comfortable with him

Dr. Obanion always takes adequate time answering all of our questions and seems to genuinely care about his patients.

Dr O’banion was very informative and thorough, as usual. Always makes my kiddos feel comfortable as well.

We love how attentive Dr. O'Banion is with our children. He really listens to our concerns and makes us feel heard. He also makes it a priority to make sure our child is included in conversations about her health and well being.

Jax needed to be seen immediately in order for riley hospitals to do their job and Dr. O'Banion made it happen in 30min at the last second so jax could get the care he needed at riley. Can't state how appreciative I am of that! When everything else in the system is broken and not working Dr. O'Banion somehow makes it work time and time again.

He is amazing Doctor. He truly cares about his kids. I say his kids because he treats them as his own not just as patients. He answers all the questions I have and I never leave second guessing or feel misunderstood or misinformed. No matter how dumb or how over reacting I feel he makes me feel I am a good parent.

He is a warm and knowledgeable doctor that knows exactly how to help children understand their own health and is always a pleasure to interact with.

I appreciate the intentionality and interaction Dr. O’Banion had with my child. He is not the provider that we typically see but I was very pleased with how our visit went. I was pleased with my child’s concerns being validated, the depth that went into figuring out what was going on, and how the interaction put my child in a positive mood about the visit.

Dr. O’Bannion takes the time to understand your problem. Then has a plan of action of how to resolve the issue. He is a terrific doctor with a great bedside manner! We are truly honored that he has taken care of our son all of this life, as his pediatrician.
