Dr. Jacqueline Maxwell is the director of training for the psychology internship training program. Dr. Maxwell also provides adult testing in the outpatient office and provides clinical consultation to master’s level clinicians. Dr. Maxwell received her undergraduate degree in social work from Indiana University-Bloomington, her master’s degree in social work from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and her doctoral degree from the University of Indianapolis.

Dr. Maxwell has worked in a college counseling center, family medicine residency program, and mental health center. Her clinical interests include integrating behavioral health into primary care, health psychology, trauma, and substance use disorders, particularly opioid use disorders. Dr. Maxwell has served as a practicum site supervisor through the years introducing employers to the benefits of having predoctoral psychology trainees. Dr. Maxwell hopes that one day all people will have equal access to healthcare and behavioral healthcare.

In her free time, Dr. Maxwell and her husband, Ken, enjoy travelling and will hop on public transportation in whatever city or country they are visiting. She loves spending time in nature and supports Indiana’s state parks. Dr. Maxwell, her husband, and dog, Cali, can often be seen walking along the Cultural Trail in downtown Indianapolis.

Troy E. Johnson, PsyD, HSPP is a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Indiana and carries an additional endorsement as a Health Service Provider in Psychology. Prior to completing his doctoral training at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2007, Dr. Johnson worked as licensed mental health counselor with youth in acute care and residential settings. He completed his pre-doctoral internship with Applewood Centers prior to completing his post-doctoral requirements with Community Health Network.

Presently, Dr. Johnson is a staff psychologist with Community Health Network. Current responsibilities include provision of psychological testing to support the youth service line as well as providing clinical support, education and training for clinicians working in outpatient and intensive outpatient settings. Dr. Johnson provides supervision for practicum students affiliated with the University of Indianapolis, a relationship he has maintained since 2016. Dr. Johnson honors the opportunity to meet student learners where they are while fostering an environment of collaboration and support that facilitates confidence through the necessary process of professional identity development and autonomy.

Dr. Johnson is married and presently raising two adolescent humans with divergent passions. As such, you will often find him driving a carpool or cheering from the sidelines of a dancefloor or baseball diamond. In his spare time, you may find him belting out a show tune, cooking or exploring various physical activities to keep his aging body limber.

Dr. Windnagel serves as the behavioral health faculty within Community Group Family Medicine Center and is also a site supervisor for Community Health Network's Psychology Internship Program. Dr. Windnagel received her undergraduate degree in neuroscience from the University of Virginia before receiving both her master’s and doctorate degree in clinical psychology from the University of Indianapolis. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Alaska Family Medicine Residency prior to completing her post-doctoral training at the St. Louis VA Health Care System where her work focused on primary care and mental health integration.

Dr. Windnagel's clinical interests include integrated behavioral health, motivational interviewing, chronic pain, sleep disorders, and providing culturally humble care and supervision. Dr. Windnagel is particularly passionate about working with the LGBTQIA+ population and other marginalized groups. Dr. Windnagel believes that mental health clinicians have an ethical obligation to use their privilege and platform to advocate for social justice and human rights.

Dr. Windnagel's personal passions include traveling (experiencing new cultures and world perspectives), reading (always willing to accept book recommendations), hiking (or if you’re in Indiana, perhaps “trail walking” is a more accurate term), walking her dog (Gus) at local parks, and sampling local restaurants and breweries.

Community Health Network School-Based Program

Dr. Case is a clinical psychologist who specializes in child and adolescent and health psychology. She represents the clinical psychologist for the school-based multidisciplinary team and is also a site supervisor for the psychology internship program. Dr. Case received her undergraduate degree in microbiology and psychology from Indiana University Bloomington before receiving a master’s in molecular biology and working as a bench scientist for the Center for Immunobiology at the Indiana University School of Medicine. After a few years of lab work, and becoming a parent, she transitioned to a career in psychology earning a master’s in rehabilitation psychology and a doctorate of clinical psychology.

She has worked in a variety of roles during her career including youth psychiatric inpatient, intensive outpatient, school-based services and primary care. She completed a post-doctorate fellowship at Franciscan Health Family Medicine Residency and joined as behavioral health faculty prior to landing at Community Health Network. She is passionate about education, program development and preventive care. She enjoys blending the “scientist” with the psychologist while working in a multidisciplinary team to achieve a holistic view of treatment and intervention.

Dr. Case has a variety of interests in her free time, ranging from exploring nature (especially microbial environments) and puzzles to woodworking and anything that has to do with learning new skills.

Ann Lovko, PsyDAnn Lovko, PhD, HSPP

Dr. Lovko has over 30 years of experience working as a clinical psychologist, working primarily in community mental health settings but with adjunct experiences in a variety of settings. After receiving her undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa, she completed her PhD at Bowling Green State University and predoctoral internship with the Indiana University School of Medicine. She spent the first part of her career working primarily with children, adolescents and families, but has been treating mostly adults for the past 15 years.

In addition to providing therapy, Dr. Lovko also has been active in doing psychological testing and evaluations, with a recent focus on adult ADHD assessments and some adult autism evaluations. Dr. Lovko was involved with Community Behavioral Health’s Integrative Care team for more than six years, working with cardiac clients for several years and in an OB/GYN practice.

Prior to returning to Community Behavioral Health in 2012, Dr. Lovko was a supervisor for a pre-doctoral internship with another mental health center and Butler University. She has also supervised practicum students from the University of Indianapolis PsyD program for several years. Additional activities in psychology have included working part time in private practices, teaching in-person and online college psychology classes, doing autism assessments and working with a group of psychologists providing determinations for social security disability evaluations.

She has a wide range of non-work interests, including working out and running, scuba diving, traveling, spending time with family and friends, playing the piano, leading a social justice group in her church, and oil painting. One of her favorite activities is helping with child-care for her 2-year-old granddaughter and she is looking forward to meeting her second grandchild in January 2022.
