Psychology Internship Program

Welcome to the Community Health Network Psychology Internship! Our Psychology Internship Training Program is currently recruiting for our next intern class to begin July 2024.

Welcome!

We are accepting two psychology interns through the Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers (APPIC). Our small internship program lends itself to close interactions and relationships with peers and faculty. We are looking for strong candidates who are innovative and passionate about the field of psychology.

The psychology training program at Community Health Network approaches training from a practitioner-scholar model of clinical training and is based upon a developmental model of education. Just as we view the competencies and needs of our patients and clients from a multi-cultural and developmental perspective, so too do we organize our curriculum around a developmental sequence of applied, didactic, and mentoring experiences aimed at preparing trainees for eventual independent practice in a range of settings.  An over-riding goal is to demonstrate to interns, through a combination of applied and didactic experiences, that provision of culturally responsive mental health services requires intervention at multiple and interacting levels of care.

Our focus is to provide exceptional training using a robust array of mental health service experiences combined with a comprehensive didactic curriculum. We are committed to prepare trainees to succeed at the forefront of the evolving role of psychology in the delivery of healthcare. We strongly believe we will provide you with the educational opportunities, clinical experiences, supervision and mentorship to guide you in achieving this goal.
