Community Health Network names vice president of oncology services

Indianapolis, IN---Myra Fouts has been named vice president of oncology services for Community Health Network and will oversee the health system’s patient-centered cancer programs and operations. Fouts officially began her role March 12. 

“We are excited to have Myra join our team,” said Tony Javorka, chief operating officer for Community Physician Network.  “She is a highly accomplished, results-driven healthcare executive with extensive oncology-based experience in cancer center operations, clinical program development and patient-centered design.”

Fouts most recently served as principal for AOC Oncology in Los Angeles, working with hospital clients to assess clinical services and programs and identify opportunities to improve operational performance. Her career experience also includes positions such as vice president of medical affairs for Aptium Oncology, Inc., in Los Angeles and vice president of clinical services at Salick Health Care Inc., in Los Angeles. Additionally, she has served in the capacity of project director, director of clinical operations, and nursing director for health care systems nationwide.

Fouts is a graduate of the University of Missouri and holds an M.S. degree in nursing administration and a B.S. in nursing. She holds multiple certifications and has published an array of articles in medical journals, as well as participated in numerous national speaking engagements. Her current and past affiliations include the Oncology Nursing Society; Association of Cancer Executives; Health Care Advisory Board, Oncology Roundtable; Aptium Network of Clinical Directors; Oncology Roundtable, Research Agenda Advisor; and the Association of Cancer Executives: Cancer Center Building Blocks Conference Planning Committee.
