Why CHOICE?

The CHOICE program offers compassionate help to those facing substance use disorders. Discover stories of hope and recovery from mothers who have been there.

Natalie's Story

When Natalie became pregnant with her daughter, she needed more than just exceptional pregnancy care. After struggling with addiction for four years, she needed a care team who could support her holistically and advocate for what she needed for her recovery. Watch her success story in the video.

What To Expect if You're Pregnant

The Community Health Network CHOICE program provides individualized care plans for expectant mothers. Care typically begins with a five-day inpatient detox in our maternity unit to help pregnant women safely stop using substances, followed by ongoing aftercare services. The CHOICE team will help provide OB/GYN care, therapy and on-staff peer recovery coaching to support mothers during and after their pregnancy.

Expectant mothers choosing recovery with CHOICE can count on a caring team of helpers every step of the way – from the moment they start care and for as long as they need it. Our team is focused on supporting women facing addiction and helping women learn to advocate for their recovery. They are dedicated to providing personalized, non-judgmental care that goes beyond just clinical needs.

CHOICE offers expectant mothers 24-hour access to begin their recovery journey at Community Hospital Anderson and Community Hospital East. Our compassionate team can help women begin their care whenever they are ready.

How To Begin

Pregnant women can begin their care with CHOICE immediately by going to the maternity unit directly at either Community Hospital East or Community Hospital Anderson and requesting support with CHOICE. No insurance or referral needed.

The maternity units are open 24/7 and pregnant women can walk in any time to begin their care with CHOICE – no need to call ahead.
