How It Works

The Care Alert Center is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. We are always here for you.

  1. Simply push the button to speak to the Care Alert Center.
In the event of an accident simply push the button on your wrist or around your neck.
  2. Wait for the Care Alert Center representative to speak over the base unit or pendant.
"Mary, this is the Call Alert Center. Is everything alright? How can we help you today?
  3. Speak over the base unit and let the Care Alert Center know that you’re ok or that you need help.
"Thank you for your quick response. I slipped in the kitchen while making supper and my husband isn't home. Can you call someone to help me up?
Fall Detector Button

Community offers a fall detector button that works with most Care Alert units. When a fall is detected and no sudden movement is made after a fall, an alarm will be sent to the Care Alert Center to get you help.

The Community Care Alert Center will then activate the unit and talk to you to ensure that you are safe. In the event of an emergency, the Care Alert Center will contact a caregiver, next door neighbor, or emergency personnel when appropriate to get you the help you need.

Medication Adherence

Right pill. Right dose. Right time.

Community Care Alert’s automatic medication dispenser makes it easy to remember to take your medications or vitamins according to your doctor’s prescribed regimen.

It’s easy to use. When it’s time to take a pill, the tray automatically turns to the next dose and an alarm will sound. Simply slide the door back, and for those with dexterity limitations, a tongue depressor can be used to slide the dose into a cup. If the medicine is not taken within 30 minutes of the prescribed time, the Care Center is notified and will call the patient or caregiver with a friendly reminder.

Medication monitoring is available for around $1 per day, backed by Community Health Network and powered by VRI, a leading provider of in-home health monitoring solutions.
