Lung Cancer Screenings

Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths in the United States. Low-dose CT lung screening will show the lung tissue in high diagnostic detail to help you understand your risk for lung cancer. USPSTF guidelines and Medicare eligibility criteria recommend annual lung screenings for individuals ages 50 to 77 who have a tobacco smoking history of at least 20 pack years. If you have stopped smoking, you must have quit within the last 15 years. You must also have met with your physician to discuss your eligibility, and the physician must order the CT lung screening.
