Melissa joined Community Hospital Anderson in 2019 as a breast health navigator. She started with Community Health Network in 2015 as a surgical nurse at Community Surgery Center Noblesville. She received her BSN from Indiana University in 2003 and spent her first 13 years working in her hometown hospital specializing in surgery, obstetrics, outpatient cardiology and interventional radiology. At that time she and her family decided it was time for a change and a move away from their hometown of Rochester, IN. Melissa obtained her MammaCare® certification for clinical breast exams in 2020.
Melissa now resides in the small town of Fairmount, home of James Dean, with her high school sweetheart and their four children. She enjoys spending time outside, being active, warm weather and making memories with family and friends. After having walked through breast cancer twice with her mother, she felt a special calling in helping others navigate through their same difficult seasons in life.
