The Oncology Nurse Navigation Program at Community Health Network began in 2006 with our breast cancer patients. Today, the program has expanded to support gynecologic, head/neck/lung, GI/colorectal and skin cancer patients – as well as general services in some locations. Our goal is to have navigation available to all oncology patients. Learn more about our navigators below.

The oncology nurse navigators can be reached by phone Monday through Friday at 317-355-4114, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
What does a navigator do?
The nurse navigator acts as a guide, resource, advocate, educator and liaison for newly diagnosed cancer patients and their family. The navigator is the consistent caregiver through the cancer journey, coordinating appointments and schedules while keeping the patient and family actively involved in their plan of care.
