A low-dose CT lung screening will show the lung tissue in high diagnostic detail to help you understand your risk for lung cancer. USPSTF guidelines and Medicare eligibility criteria recommend annual lung screenings for individuals ages 50 to 77 with a tobacco smoking history of at least 20 pack years.

A heart scan, or coronary calcium scan, takes special images of your heart using x-rays. The doctor can measure calcium-containing plaque in the arteries that can narrow the arteries and increase heart attack risk. The result of this screening is often called a calcium score. People who are most likely to benefit from having a heart scan are men over 40 years of age and women over 50 years of age who smoke, have high blood pressure, are diabetic, are obese, have high or borderline cholesterol, and/or have a family history of heart disease.

Vascular screenings include ABI screening to detect PAD, carotid screening to check for plaque in the arteries, and abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) screening to check the aorta.
Good screening candidates are adults over age 45 with other risk factors for vascular disease, including diabetes, smoking, hypertension, abnormal cholesterol profiles, and/or family history.
