Tell them: "Take me to Howard!"
When you or a loved one become ill or injured, you need expert care fast. Community Howard Regional Health’s Emergency Department is always prepared with board-certified emergency medicine physicians, emergency-trained nurses and other personnel on duty 24 hours a day.
When you come to the Community Howard Emergency Department, you will be greeted by an assessment EMT and a triage nurse in one of our three private triage rooms. Your condition will be assessed, and, depending on the severity, you will be taken to either a traditional emergency exam room or a room in our Fast Track area .
This six-room Fast Track area is open from noon until midnight and is available for patients with less serious illnesses and injuries. There's even an exam room in the Fast Track area especially for kids.
Among our traditional exam rooms are rooms designed especially for orthopedics, ear/nose/throat and OB/GYN.
A 64-channel CT scanner housed in the Emergency Department makes state-of-the-art imaging faster and more accurate for diagnosis of cardiac episodes, cancers, orthopedic injuries and more.
