Pediatric hospitalist, Community Hospital North
Karen Eastburn, D.O., is a pediatric hospitalist at Community Hospital North. She joined the group in 2011. As a graduate of Carmel High School, she went on to earn two bachelor's degrees from Emory University and a master's degree from Georgia State University. She then earned the doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from UMDNJ School of Osteopathic Medicine in Stratford, New Jersey. She completed her residency in pediatrics at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
She has worked in biomedical research at Emory University and at the Shriners Hospital for Children in Portland, Oregon. Dr. Eastburn is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Her interests outside of pediatric medicine include playing the violin with a special interest in Baroque music, running–particularly marathon training, traveling and spending time with her family in Georgia.
