Dr. Leland is so knowledgeable and great at what she does. I have been with her through regular annual exams, to problem visits and procedures/surgery to address concerns in preparation for wanting to have a child, to delivering my first baby and providing aftercare. She has shown impressive clinical knowledge and intervention skills in her treatment with me and I fully trust her to address my concerns sensitively and appropriately. I highly, highly recommend her!

She didn’t listen to what I was telling her. I’m 48, I’m going through pre menopause. All the symptoms I described should have been easily recognized. Instead I was told it was unlikely and offered no plan to move forward other than bloodwork. I wish she would have explained what tests would be ran and how those results might help her help me.

I felt heard which is the most important for me

I love community network. Everyone that I have experienced is extremely nice and considerate of my time. Dr. Leeland covered for Dr. Wagner yesterday. She was amazing and treated me as her own. She was very informative and made me feel comfortable.

The provider who is not my normal provider was condescending, rude, unwilling to listen to me and my needs. She had already decided she wasn’t going to help me before the visit even started and because of that seemed angry when I just didn’t leave…I deserve answers and that’s what I was trying to get. My discharge paperwork was printed before she was in the room with no notes about our visit on it. Next time, I’d rather not be seen by a doctor than willing choose to go back to see her.

Dr. Leland was recommended to me by a friend and I would happily recommend her to any other woman. She is straightforward with information, and has never made me uneasy even when the news was not what you want to hear. She provides an opportunity to ask questions and get more information during the visit, while also having responsive staff if there are questions afterwards.

Doctor Leland did a great job with my medical care, but I was really uncomfortable as I’d requested the shadowing medical student not shadow Dr. Leland during my exam. This wasn’t the case and the student shadowed my gyn exam, which made me really uncomfortable and upset. I felt pretty panicked and didn’t speak up because I was so nervous. I wish my wishes had been heard and respected.

During Dr Leland and I’s chat I felt like she didn’t have much information to say or very short answers. She did answer my questions but they seemed short and she didn’t have a lot to say which made the visit awkward. She seems very sweet though.

It was going good until I bring up I want a tubal ligation. This is something I’ve mentioned a few times to her and had an in depth conversation about it before being put on my now 7th birth control in 8 years because of complications. She told me if this last one failed then I could have the procedure. Fast forward to getting my IUD removed yesterday, I brought it up again and she was “sad” and it “pained her” to want my tubes tied because I’m “still so young.” I’ve been dead set on not having anymore kids since my son was born almost 9 years ago because of trauma and have told her all of this and that if I did become pregnant then they would have to commit me more or less because I cannot do that again mentally, physically, and emotionally. The thing that made me the most furious was when she asked what insurance I have and looked it up and was like oh they probably won’t cover any of it, you’ll have to pay out of pocket for the whole procedure. I just shut down after that comment and said whatever I could to get out of there as quickly as I could so I could go bawl my eyes out in my car.

Great listener

My only complaint is that this is the second time I have been there and had to wait because she was delivering a baby. I think, if that is the case, there should be someone else (nurse practitioner) to do the exam. I am a senior citizen and do not require as much time as a pregnancy.
