He lied to my face when he assumed I didn’t understand my situation.

Dr Cohen is a competent surgeon and did a good job explaining surgery to me. However did not feel like I received holistic care on optimal recovery (e.g. no guidance on post surgery diet or supplementation even though I was discharged from hospital with very low RBC and hemoglobin, dehydrated and constipated, also given limited options for management, etc.).

Felt uncomfortable, was ready for the conversation to be over, spoke in a way where it felt like he was talking down to me.

He is not afraid to give oncology patients outside resources, such as palliative care. It was the best referral that any physician in the entire Network had given me. It allowed me to regain control of an out of hand experience.

While Dr. Cohen may occasionally be behind schedule, the wait is absolutely worth it for the care and concern he gives to you as a patient. He takes his time to answer your questions and truly explain things to you in a way that is compassionate and clear to understand. He goes out of his way to make sure you understand what's ahead and gives you options with clear information. Some people might be frustrated about the wait to see him, I'm always grateful because I know he will give me all the time I need when he's with me. He is easily my most trusted provider in my breast cancer journey.

Dr. Cohen is fantastic. He always answers my questions (I have a lot), provides me with all of the information that I need, and explains it without being patronizing. I feel like he truly cares about his patients. I am very lucky to have had him as my physician throughout this process!

Dr Cohen spent an hour with my husband and I going over all my surgical options. He was knowledgeable, professional, but also so very kind and understanding.
