Community Health Network names new chief financial officer

Indianapolis, IN---Community Health Network has named Joe Kessler as its next chief financial officer. Kessler will be responsible for the financial strategies and long-term financial strength of the organization. He will also serve as a member of Community’s CEO Council and will report directly to Community President and CEO Bryan Mills.

“Joe brings more than 30 years of healthcare leadership in financial management, partnership strategies and innovative business solutions,” said Mills.  “This wealth of experience will enhance the capabilities of the Community Health Network leadership team.”

Kessler made the move to Community Health Network from Kaleida Health in Buffalo, New York, the largest healthcare system in western New York, where he served as executive vice president and CFO. His career journey also includes TriHealth in Cincinnati and Ernst & Young.

He received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Ohio State University, and is a CPA and a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
