Community Health Network welcomes new board members

Community Health Network is pleased to welcome two new additions to its Board of Directors. Rodney Cotton and Rafael Sanchez bring years of experience and wisdom to the governing board of the healthcare network.

Rodney Cotton

Rodney Cotton is currently SVP, Head of Strategy & Transformation and Chief of Staff to the CEO for Indianapolis-based Roche Diagnostics. With more than 35 years of healthcare experience, Cotton has driven the financial turnaround and cultural transformation of four global healthcare companies.

Prior to Roche, Cotton held roles at Baxter International and other firms. A frequent public speaker on diversity, he is an executive sponsor for Roche’s Asian, Black, and Latino affinity groups and a supporter of its LGBTQ group.

Cotton serves as a member of the board of directors for the United Way of Central Indiana. He is also a member of the Advancement Council for Meharry Medical College School of Applied Computational Sciences, the nation’s oldest historically black medical school.

Rafael Sanchez

Rafael Sanchez serves on Old National Bank’s executive management team as President of Private Banking. Sanchez is an attorney and former President and CEO of Indianapolis Power& Light Company (IPL). A native of Puerto Rico, Sanchez moved to Indiana in 1996 to pursue a law degree. He is a highly respected business and community leader making significant strides in civic engagement since moving to Indianapolis in 2002.

Sanchez currently serves as Chairman of the Board of United Way of Central Indiana, Chairman of the Board of Indiana Latino Institute, and Secretary for the Indy Championship Fund. He is also President-Elect for Crossroads BSA (Boys Scouts), Co-Chair for the 2024 Indianapolis NBA All-Star Game and serves on other nonprofit boards. In September 2017, Sanchez was awarded the ‘Sagamore of the Wabash’ by Governor Eric Holcomb for his long-standing civic engagement efforts as a leader in the Indianapolis community.
