Community Health Network welcomes first chief diversity and inclusion officer

Indianapolis—Diane McDaniel has been named Community Health Network’s first chief diversity and inclusion officer. Her role includes overseeing our well-established office of diversity and working collaboratively across the organization to enhance and improve the depth and breadth of Community’s diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Diane McDaniel, chief diversity, equity and inclusion officerMcDaniel comes to us from Indiana Wesleyan University where she served as the institution’s inaugural vice president for diversity and inclusion, chief diversity officer, and member of the president’s executive council. She was responsible for developing the university’s Diversity Strategic Plan Framework and for identifying institutional priorities, programs, and initiatives advancing inclusive excellence learning for faculty, staff, and student groups.

The Indianapolis native is an accomplished HR leader with extensive organizational and change management experience. McDaniel will help guide Community in reaching the Network’s goal of improving our workplace by enhancing a culture of inclusion that seeks, welcomes, and values all people.
