Barb Elliott to retire as president, CEO of Fairbanks

Indianapolis—Community Health Network announced today that Barb Elliott will retire as president and CEO of Fairbanks Addiction Treatment and Recovery Center.

Barb Elliott, retiring Fairbanks CEOElliott has been with Fairbanks since 2007, when she was named vice president and chief financial officer. She took on the role of interim CEO, and then in November 2016 was named president and CEO of Fairbanks.

“When Fairbanks became part of our organization late last year, we noted how perfectly it fits into Community’s mission and longtime commitment to behavioral health,” said Jason Fahrlander, Community Health Network Chief Operating Officer. “Barb Elliott’s leadership helped grow Fairbanks’ storied role in our community’s health and healing, and her vision helped integrate Fairbanks into the Community family.”

Elliott’s career also includes service to St. Vincent Health, what was then known as Howard Community Hospital, and Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Indiana. She also serves as board treasurer for Executive Women in Healthcare.

Elliott will retire as president and CEO of Fairbanks at the end of July.
