Community Health Network to expand school partnership with Hamilton Southeastern Schools

For release on July 24, 2018

Health center, school nursing, sports medicine included in new agreement

Indianapolis—Community Health Network and Hamilton Southeastern Schools reached a new agreement which will expand the care offered to students and staff by the Indianapolis-based health system.

As part of the multi-year agreement, Community will operate an employee health center, provide sports medicine services and manage the school nurse clinics which will collectively serve the school system’s 21,600 students and 2,500 employees. Community has provided behavioral health services to Hamilton Southeastern since 2017.

“Having the opportunity to provide care to the schools in our local communities is a privilege and a special responsibility,” said Nichole Wilson, vice president of retail services, Community Health Network. “Our services within these partnerships allow us to provide consistency in care and help students and staff spend more time in the classroom and on the playing field.”

The Hamilton Southeastern partnership will expand in the 2018-2019 school year with the opening of the health center. The school nursing and sports medicine services begin in July 2019.
