Community Physician Network welcomes specialty care providers

Indianapolis, IN---Community Physician Network is pleased to welcome two specialty care providers, an otolaryngologist and a gynecologic oncologist. Both physicians are accepting new patients.

Wafic ElMasri, MD, is a gynecologic oncologist specializing in the treatment and management of gynecologic malignancies and complex pelvic surgeries. Dr. ElMasri was born and raised in Beirut, Lebanon. He received his bachelor's degree in chemistry from the American University of Beirut and earned his master's degree and doctor of medicine degree from American University of the Caribbean (AUC) School of Medicine. Dr. ElMasri completed his residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at Loyola University Medical Center/Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago. He then joined Texas Tech, where he served on the faculty of the OB/GYN department. In 2007, he joined the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, MD, as a Cancer Research Training Award (CRTA) research fellow and completed his NIH cancer research fellowship. He then completed a gynecologic oncology fellowship at the University of California Los Angeles/Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Peter Schilt, MD, is an otolaryngologist who cares of patients of all ages with ear, nose, throat and allergy concerns. Dr. Schilt was born and raised in Carmel, Indiana and attended Carmel High School. He received a bachelor’s degree with majors in Spanish and biology from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and his doctor of medicine degree with honors from the Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Schilt went on to complete a residency in otolaryngology–head and neck surgery at Indiana University School of Medicine. He has been honored with research awards locally and nationally and has presented his research at several national meetings resulting in several peer-reviewed publications.
