Community Howard Regional Health now affiliated with MD Anderson Cancer Network®

Affiliation with the cancer network and certified Anderson oncologists brings higher quality cancer care to local Kokomo community

Kokomo, IN---Community Howard Regional Health announced today that its main hospital facility and oncologists are now affiliated with MD Anderson Cancer Network®, a program of The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. The affiliation means the certified physicians have access to evidence-based guidelines, treatment plans and concordance studies provided by MD Anderson experts. Since U.S. News & World Report began its annual Best Hospitals survey in 1990, MD Anderson Cancer Center has been named among the top two in cancer care—and No. 1 for 10 of the past 13 years.

We are very proud to bring nationally-proven cancer guidelines and treatments to our local Kokomo community, said Ron Lewis, interim president of Community Howard Regional Health. This affiliation should give cancer patients the peace of mind of knowing they are getting exceptional care, with MD Anderson expertise right here at home.

Our certified physicians will now have access to the top cancer doctors some of the highest-regarded physicians in the country for consultations on cancer cases. They will also use the same high standards of treatment. In addition, Community Howard, its cancer program and certified physicians had to meet strict certification criteria in order to be affiliated with MD Anderson Cancer Network.
