Community Health Network names Karen Lightbourne community collaborations director
Position will lead new program to improve health of communities through partnerships
INDIANAPOLIS—Community Health Network has named Karen Lightbourne community collaborations director for the East Region.
Community collaborations is a new program that aims to improve the health and well-being of communities by utilizing comprehensive models that extend beyond a hospital or doctor’s office to address all aspects of a patient’s health-care needs.
In her new role, Lightbourne will work to improve the health and well-being of communities through innovative partnerships with local neighborhood, business and government partners.
Before coming to Community, Lightbourne served as the Mayor’s neighborhood advocate for both Warren and Pike Townships. She also served as the community builder for the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis where she managed one of Indianapolis’ most successful neighborhood quality of life plans.
Karen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Ball State University.
