Community Health Network hires veteran IT executive for new position in Knowledge Management

Indianapolis---Community Health Network has hired an experienced IT executive to a newly-created position in the Office of Knowledge Management, which will direct clinical and business application services for the network. Bill Cox, who has held leadership positions at Eli Lilly, AIT Laboratories and Allegient, LLC, will become Community’s vice president of solutions and report to the network’s chief knowledge and information officer. Cox began his new post on January 19.

“Bill is an accomplished IT veteran who has broad experiences in senior management, corporate strategy and software design and development,” said Community’s Chief Knowledge and Information Officer, Ron Thieme. “His rich knowledge and commitment to quality will help Community build the best business and clinical solutions for patients and employees.”

Cox, who graduated from Franklin College and Purdue’s Graduate School of Management, served 29 years with Eli Lilly and Company in a variety of IT leadership positions. He joined AIT Laboratories in 2010, becoming vice president and chief administrative officer. He recently serviced as vice president of enterprise operations for Allegient, LLC.

Cox resides in Greenfield and is a member of the Rotary Club of Greenfield and Park Chapel Christian Church.
