Proceeds Raised from Special Ticket Offer & “Kickin’ Cancer” Scarves to Benefit Community Health Network Foundation’s Oncology Patient Assistance Fund; First 8,000 Fans through Carroll Stadium Gates to Receive Pink Wristband to Promote Breast Cancer Awareness

INDIANAPOLIS—The “Boys in Blue” will proudly introduce pink into their wardrobe on Saturday, October 11, when Indy Eleven Professional Soccer will host Breast Cancer Awareness Night benefiting Community Health Network Foundation in conjunction with its match at IUPUI’s Carroll Stadium against Minnesota United FC. Kickoff for the game on October 11 is set for 7:30 p.m. ET.

As part of Indy Eleven’s Breast Cancer Awareness Night campaign, proceeds raised through a ticket offer at http://kickincancer.indyeleven.com will be designated to Community Health Network Foundation’s Oncology Patient Assistance Fund. In addition, sales from a special-edition pink “Kickin’ Cancer” Indy Eleven scarf, which will be on sale at the Indy Eleven Online Store starting Saturday and available for purchase at the team’s pair of home games on Oct. 11th and Oct. 18th, will also be donated to help the cause. Donations will help Community’s cancer patients with financial struggles, helping cancer patients overcome financial barriers that limit their access to nutrition, medication, transportation and basic needs.

“We’re excited to further strengthen an already outstanding partnership with our friends at Community Health Network through our Breast Cancer Awareness Night initiative on October 11th,” said Indy Eleven President/General Manager Peter Wilt. “We’re proud that our fans’ contributions will directly benefit the lives of those heroically fighting this disease right here in Central Indiana through Community Health Network Foundation’s efforts.”

Indy Eleven players will also signify their support on the field that night against Minnesota by wearing special pink socks from the team’s Official Apparel Supplier, Diadora, and donning pink sweatbands. In addition, a pink wristband will be distributed to the first 8,000 fans through the Carroll Stadium gates, courtesy of Community Health Network Foundation.

“Community Health Network Foundation is committed to helping our cancer patients, and their families, manage every day needs while fighting the strongest fight possible,” said Joyce Irwin, president and CEO of Community Health Network Foundation. “We can’t do this alone, and I am grateful that Indy Eleven and their loyal fans will join our fight to bring exceptional cancer care to more people.”

Community Health Network Foundation is the not-for-profit philanthropic organization of Community Health Network, Central Indiana’s leader in providing convenient access to exceptional healthcare services, where and when patients need them.
