Community Physician Network announces new leadership positions

Indianapolis, IN---Community Physician Network, the integrated, multispecialty physician group at Community Health Network, has announced three new leadership positions: 

Phil Baker has joined Community as chief financial officer for Community Physician Network, providing financial leadership, oversight and direction for the physician group as well as the network’s product lines. He comes to Community from Vancouver, WA, where he served as chief financial officer for a 200-provider multispecialty medical practice. Baker has extensive financial leadership experience in multispecialty medical practices, information system consulting, manufacturing and aircraft maintenance. Phil also served in the U.S. Air Force for 10 years. He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting at Park College, a master’s degree in information science at Indiana University, and a doctoral degree in management with specialization in leadership and organizational change at Walden University. 

Donetta Gee-Weiler, R.N., begins a new role as vice president of women’s and children’s services for Community Health Network effective December 9. In this newly created position, she will oversee patient-centered programs and operations for the product line. Gee-Weiler most recently served as practice administrator for Community Physician Network OB/GYN Care, Gynecologic Cancer Care, and Hepatobiliary Surgical Care. She also has previous experience in inpatient care as a labor and delivery nurse. Gee-Weiler completed her bachelor of science degree in nursing with a concentration in nursing management at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.

Gwen O’Malley began a new role as vice president of practice operations at Community Physician Network on November 25. In this newly created position, she is responsible for providing senior operational oversight, including development and execution of plans to emphasize growth and outstanding customer experiences. Most recently, O’Malley served as executive director of primary care for Community Physician Network. She earned a bachelor’s degree at St. Mary-of-the-Woods College and a master’s degree at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.
