The Jane Pauley Community Health Center names executive director

Indianapolis, IN---Marc Hackett has been named executive director of The Jane Pauley Community Health Center, located inside the Renaissance School at 30th Street and Post Road. Hackett officially began his duties in late February and will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the facility.

Prior to joining The Jane Pauley Community Health Center, Hackett served as executive director of the Shalom Health Care Center in Indianapolis for the past eight years. Before that, he worked as a practice manager and administrator for Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin, Indiana. He also helped establish the Trafalgar and Edinburgh Family Health Centers. His experience includes business startups and consulting; management; federal and state grant writing; administration and financial operations.

Hackett is a graduate of Ball State University, where he earned his business management degree, and the Indiana Business College, where he received a degree in administrative accounting and business management. He is a board member and serves on the finance committee of the Indiana Primary Healthcare Association. In addition, Hackett is a member of the following organizations: Medical Group Management Association (state and national); Indiana Rural Health Association; Learning Well Governing Board, where he serves as treasurer; Eagledale Community Access Committee; United Way of Johnson County Access Team; Maternal and Child Healthcare Team; and the Northwest Youth Services Committee. He resides in Greenwood.

About The Jane Pauley Community Health Center
The Jane Pauley Community Health Center opened its doors in September 2009 to provide primary health services to eastside residents, regardless of income or insurance coverage. Services are provided on a discounted basis based on the patient’s household income. Eastside Indianapolis native and former NBC news anchor Jane Pauley lent her name to the facility as an advocate for accessible health care services for people underserved by traditional health care models.The center offers a full range of services including primary health care, case management, prescription assistance and behavioral health services, while also focusing on the management of chronic diseases. The Center is able to provide all of these in both English and Spanish.The mission of the Jane Pauley Community Health Center is to promote a healthy community through the provision of accessible, respectful and collaborative primary health care to any and all individuals and families.
