Community Physician Network announces new leadership positions

Indianapolis, IN---Community Physician Network, the integrated, multi-specialty physician group at Community Health Network, announces two new leadership appointments: Karamchand Paul, M.D., FACC, has been named senior cardiology medical director, and Paul Wilson, M.D., is taking on the role of senior primary care medical director.

“Both Dr. Paul and Dr. Wilson have proven leadership abilities and rapport with their physician partners,” said Pat Rankin, M.D., chief medical officer of Community Physician Network. “As advocates and liaisons for our physician partners, they will facilitate the delivery of comprehensive care that is focused on the patient.”

Dr. Karamchand Paul is senior medical director for Community Physician Network’s cardiology team. Dr. Paul graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor of arts and master of science degrees from the University of Bridgeport, Connecticut, and received his medical degree from Kasturba Medical College in Mangalore, India. He received his master of business administration degree from Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama. Dr. Paul served his internship and residency in both internal medicine and pediatrics at Yale New Haven and Bridgeport Hospitals in Connecticut. He completed a post-doctoral research fellowship in the division of transplantation at Yale University, and a four-year cardiovascular fellowship at the University of Cincinnati. Dr. Paul is board-certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease.

Dr. Paul Wilson is senior medical director for Community Physician Network’s primary care division. He previously served as a regional medical director and on the leadership council and board of directors for Community’s primary care providers. An Indianapolis native and Tech High School graduate, Dr. Wilson attended Anderson University and graduated from Indiana University-Bloomington with a bachelor of arts degree in religion. He received his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Wilson then completed his residency with the Community Family Medicine Residency program. He is board-certified and has been in practice with Community for 30 years.
