On average, the members of our senior leadership team have decades of experience creating and managing joint ventures with our company. This talented team partners with hospitals and physicians to deliver consistent growth and profitability.
Kyle B. Fisher
Chief Executive Officer, Visionary Enterprises, Inc.
Kyle Fisher is chief executive officer for Visionary Enterprises, Inc. (VEI), a for-profit affiliate of Community Health Network that develops and manages health care ventures with physicians and hospitals.
Kyle has more than 20 years of experience in finance, new business development, strategic planning and organizational leadership. He joined VEI in early 2008 as chief operating officer (COO). As COO, he was responsible for providing operational accountability and executive leadership for the entire organization. In May of 2009 he assumed the role as CEO and currently leads the corporation's operations in Indiana, Michigan and Ohio.
Kyle has been involved with VEI for many years, through his service as a board member and chairman of the Investment Committee. Additionally, he has been a part of Community Health Network’s Audit Committee.
Prior to joining VEI, Kyle was executive vice president at Goelzer Investment Management where he was responsible for new business development and client services. He has also held senior-level leadership positions in the banking industry in the Southeast and here locally with Fifth Third Bank. He received his bachelor of arts in economics from Denison University and an MBA from Wake Forest University.
Kyle is actively involved in the local community through Community Health Network’s community outreach initiatives and serves on the boards of The Heroes Foundation and St. Richard’s Episcopal School. He is a cancer survivor and is also involved with the Indianapolis Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Amy D. Glover, RN, BSN, CNOR, CASC
Vice President of Clinical and Corporate Performance
With a rich 25 year history of experience, Amy has been with VEI since 1991. Her early experience with VEI involved being a part of the planning and development of the Indiana Surgery Center North. She was appointed administrator of this facility when it opened in 1992 as VEI's first freestanding ambulatory surgery center (ASC). Indiana Surgery Center North remains the busiest ASC in the state of Indiana. Amy has also led the planning and development of joint venture arrangements with the following centers: Indiana Surgery Center Noblesville (2000), Indiana Surgery Center East, Indiana Surgery Center South, Indiana Surgery Center Kokomo, Hancock Surgery Center, Surgicare in Bloomington, and most recently Community Surgery Center Northwest (2012).
Amy holds a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Indiana University and CNOR and CASC national board certifications.
Michael T. Hogan, MBA
Vice President of Surgery Operations
Mike serves as the vice president of surgery operations for VEI Indiana. Mike has the overall responsibility for the team providing VEI surgical services in Indiana, working in concert with our executive directors and partnering with our medical and finance directors. Mike has served in leadership roles with VEI since 1993, most recently as senior director of business operations for VEI where he provided business, strategy and financial services to the north campus and Hancock surgery centers, as well as periodic financial analysis support to our sports medicine team in the ambulatory division. Prior to this, Mike was a division director at Indianapolis Medical Management with oversight of physician practice management for over 50 affiliated providers.
Mike has a bachelor’s degree in business and an MBA from Indiana University. He serves on The O'Connor House Board of Directors.
Vice President of Business Development
Wendy is the vice president of business development and reports to VEI’s CEO, Kyle Fisher. She joined VEI as part of the Strategy, Growth and Innovation leadership team in June of 2011 to help build a retail model of healthcare strategic partnerships and new healthcare ventures. In her role, she works with teams across the Community Health Network enterprise to identify and develop strategic partnerships that add value to the Network’s mission and revenue growth. She and the business development team focus on opportunities that leverage VEI and Community’s footprint, assets, clinical and business resources.
Wendy has a 25-year background in healthcare, real estate and technology. Her experience is largely with start-ups, new ventures and product launches. She has expertise in seniors housing and care, marketing, executive business development, large account sales management, and creative and business writing. Wendy was a founding principal in the Stratford Companies, a $350M venture with a real estate investment trust (REIT) to build a portfolio of hospitality-focused continuing care senior living communities, including the award-winning The Stratford of West Clay, a $65 million, 231-unit community located in west Carmel.
As a local graduate of Brebeuf Preparatory School, Wendy’s education and career have taken her to many major cities around the U.S. She holds a B.A. in Biology from Denison University and an MHA from Indiana University. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for Junior Achievement of Indiana, The Village of West Clay Home Owners Association and on the Advisory Board for Goodwill Global Goodsource, a subsidiary of Goodwill Enterprises. She is very active in community civics and was recently a part of the grass roots leadership election campaign that resulted in the successful election of a new member of Congress for her district. She enjoys people, travel, running, skiing, movies, and spending time with family and friends.
Larry N. Monn, MD
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Monn originally joined VEI as chief medical officer in 2007. His primary focus has been on patient safety, clinical quality, clinical outcomes, regulatory compliance and reporting results to external organizations and agencies.
Dr. Monn is a board-certified plastic surgeon and has practiced within Community Health Network since 1974. He served as chief of staff for the network from 1983 to 1986. In 1990, Dr. Monn founded, along with other physicians, Indiana Surgery Center North and has been the center’s board chairman since its inception. He also continues his independent plastic surgery practice concurrently with his role at VEI.
Dr. Monn received his bachelor degree from Indiana University in Bloomington and his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. He completed his residency in general and plastic surgery at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois.
Executive Director, Human Resources – VEI
Ann Nevins has more than twenty-five years of experience in human resources service. Ann started her career with Community Health Network in 1986. She has served as executive director, human resources for VEI since 2008. She joined the VEI team in 1998 as a human resources consultant. Ann is responsible for daily HR operations and the development and execution of programs and processes that support and align with SGI/VEI goals and objectives. Prior to these roles, Ann’s experience included various HR positions: VEI human resources consulting manager, HR project specialist, HR nurse retention coordinator and HR recruiter.
Ann holds a bachelor of arts in psychology from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. She is a founding/current member and past board member of the Indy SurviveOars, a breast cancer survivor dragon boat racing team and support group. She is also involved with the Humane Society of Indianapolis.
Michael E. Payne

Vice President, Real Estate and Retail Services
After receiving her bachelor of science degree in marketing and management/administration from Indiana University, Linda launched her career in real estate. She was a commercial real estate broker with, what is now, Cassidy Turley for 10 years, before making her move into health care real estate.
With more than 30 years of real estate experience, Linda brings a wealth of knowledge to VEI and Community Health Network. Linda oversees the leasing of 800,000 square feet of medical office buildings, the management of an additional 400,000 square feet of medical space, and the construction of both physician tenant suites and building projects. She also supports the network's real estate needs by providing assistance with lease transactions, land and building acquisitions and dispositions, and real estate consulting services to the physician practices affiliated with Community Physician Network.
Not only is Linda active in her role with VEI, but she also takes an active part in her community. She serves on the Board of Directors for a nonprofit, continuing care retirement community in Indianapolis, Westminster Village North, as well as the Capital Projects Fund Committee of United Way of Central Indiana. Linda and her husband also own and operate two upscale wine shops in a suburb of Indianapolis.
Karen C. Turner
For more than 25 years Karen has been advising her clients on an array of corporate matters, including joint ventures, private placements and financing arrangements. Karen joined VEI in September 2004 as director of business development. In May 2005, Karen assumed the role of general counsel for VEI with responsibility for legal oversight of all VEI projects and relationships. Prior to joining VEI, Karen provided legal counsel both in private practice and as in-house general counsel to corporate clients across a variety of industries, including roles with ADESA Corporation, Reilly Industries and Gibraltar Mausoleum Corporation. Karen’s experience also includes serving as a mergers and acquisitions and corporate transactions attorney with the Ice Miller law firm.
Karen holds a bachelor of science degree from Indiana University and a J.D. from University of Michigan School of Law.
Vice President of Innovation
Named vice president of innovation in 2011, Pete is responsible for leading the development and implementation of Community Health Network’s innovation strategy. In this role Pete leads a team that spearheaded an original concept on a napkin drawing and transformed into Community Launchpad, a start-up innovation accelerator for the organization’s 12,000 employees and strategic partners.
Previously, Pete served as vice president of business development for Community Heart and Vascular where he oversaw strategic planning, marketing and communications for one of the nation’s first integrated cardiovascular groups. He joined Community in 2005 from High Point (NC) Regional Health System where he directed brand advancement and new product development for the region’s first freestanding heart hospital.
Prior to his transition into healthcare Pete spent nearly a decade in the NASCAR industry, most recently as business manager for Richard Petty Motorsports driver Steve Grissom. During his tenure he managed motorsports marketing strategies for global companies including McDonald’s, Pennzoil and Channellock. Turner holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing, cum laude, from Bentley University in Waltham, Massachusetts.
Pete is a frequent national speaker on healthcare innovation and is a founding member of Sg2’s Council for the Center for the Future. Additionally, he serves on Indiana Sports Corporation’s Business Advisory Council, coaches youth basketball and volunteers as team captain for the American Heart Association Heart Walk.
Bret A. Weitzel
Vice President, Chief Financial Officer
In 1989, Bret started his career as a staff accountant within VEI’s physician practice management division. He rapidly advanced to accounting supervisor, then to accounting manager. Since 1995, Bret has served in the capacity of vice president and chief financial officer for VEI. He is responsible for the financial reporting for the corporation and all limited liability companies (LLC) owned and managed by VEI. His activities include the coordination of the annual budgeting process, supervision of all banking relationships, materials management activities, financial statement preparation and analysis, tax return preparation, pension plan administration, and coordination of internal and external audits.
Bret holds a bachelor of science degree in accounting from Indiana University, a master of business administration degree from Butler University, and is a certified public accountant (CPA).
Surgery Center Leadership
