Therapy specialties at the Washington pavilion in east Indianapolis include McKenzie technique for pain management; pediatric and adult speech-language disorders; pediatric development disorders; general orthopedics and sports medicine diagnoses; occupational (work injury) therapy and pre-employment physicals; and hand/upper extremity rehab and orthotics.
Kelli Clark, PT, DPT is a doctor of physical therapy with a special interest in orthopedics, sports medicine, hip and knee dysfunction, neurological disorders and spinal cord injury. Additionally, Kelli has advanced training in muscle energy techniques and is Kinematic Taping Concept Certified (KTCC).
Kelly Dahlem, MA, CCC-SLP is a certified speech-language pathologist who specializes in pediatric speech and language delays, speech sound disorders, fluency disorders, feeding disorders, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). Kelly has advanced training in treating childhood apraxia of speech (CAS), the Language Acquisition through Motor Planning (LAMP) approach, and the AEIOU Systematic Approach to Pediatric Feeding.
Trisha Donaghey, MOT, OTR is an occupational therapist who specializes in pediatrics, sensory integration, handwriting and feeding difficulties. In addition, Trisha is an AOTA member.
Brittnie Fleck, MA, CCC-SLP is a certified speech-language pathologist who specializes in pediatric speech and language delays, articulation disorders, feeding difficulties and AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication). In addition, Brittnie has advanced training in SOS Approach to Feeding and AEIOU Systematic Approach to Pediatric Feeding.
Marcy Gordy, PT, DPT is a doctor of physical therapy who specializes in the evaluation and treatment of work injuries and orthopedic conditions. Her clinical experience includes Matheson functional capacity evaluations (FCE), work conditioning, pre-employment physical demand testing, Graston technique, McKenzie MDT techniques for the spine (A-D), and Kinesiotaping. Marcy is also an APTA Credentialed Clinical Instructor.
Andrew McClure PT, DPT is a doctor of physical therapy with a special interest in orthopedics, sports medicine, and the assessment and treatment of running athletes. Andrew has advanced training in the diagnosis and treatment of movement and muscle imbalances with the Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), Functional Movement Screen (FMS) and Y Balance Test. He is also trained in the Graston Technique for soft tissue mobilization.
Jill Nowakowski, PT, DPT is a doctor of physical therapy who specializes in general orthopedics. Additionally, Jill has a special interest in sports medicine rehabilitation.
Kaitlin Pennington, MS, CCC-SLP is a speech-language pathologist who specializes in pediatric and adult speech and language disorders, childhood apraxia of speech, fluency disorders, voice disorders, and feeding and swallowing disorders. Lisa Smiley, PT, DPT is a doctor of physical therapy who specializes in general orthopedics, sports medicine and women’s health. In addition, Lisa has completed Pelvic Floor Dysfunction and Treatment Level One and Level One Lumbopelvic course with North American Institute of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy.
Janelle Snyder, PT, DPT is a doctor of physical therapy who specializes in pediatric therapy, general orthopedics and neurological conditions. Additionally, Janelle has advanced training in Graston technique (instrument assisted soft tissue massage) and McKenzie Method Part A.
Susan Spice, PT is a physical therapist, women’s health specialist and lymphedema/oncology specialist who specializes in women’s and men’s health, pelvic floor dysfunction and lymphedema/oncology management. In addition, Susan has advanced training in pelvic floor dysfunction and treatment (levels 1, 2 and 3), pregnancy and postpartum issues, basic and advanced Leduc method lymphedema management and cancer exercise specialist training.
Elise Vergara, PT, DPT is a doctor of physical therapy specializing in general orthopedics with a special interest in sports medicine rehabilitation. Elise has advanced training in Graston Technique, Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), and Y-balance testing. Additionally, Elise is certified in functional dry needling and is an APTA Credentialed Clinical Instructor.
Jennifer Vertrees, MS, OTR/L is an occupational therapist with a special interest in the design and fabrication of orthoses/splints for the hand, wrist and elbow, orthopedic shoulder to hand conditions, chronic pain management, and ergonomics. Additionally, Jennifer has advanced training in Graston M1 and acute care rehabilitation.
April Zapf, MS, OTR/L, CHT is an occupational therapist and Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) who specializes in custom splinting and orthopedic shoulder to hand conditions and burns. Additionally, April has completed course work on IAOM-US Upper Extremity and has advanced training in Graston technique and neuromobilization of the upper quadrant.
