Entrance
The Main Entrance (Ritter Avenue) is open from 5:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Visitors to campus who arrive after the main entrance is closed should use the Emergency Department entrance, accessible from 16th Street.
Visitor Registration
Visitor registration is now required for guests who plan to visit acute care areas.
- Visitors will need to stop by the registration desk in the main lobby to be screened for COVID-19 and show a photo ID. Typical registration takes about one minute.
- Once approved, visitors will receive an identification sticker containing their photo and name. This sticker is only activated for the floor/unit of the patient, and required to enter acute care areas.
- Visitors will need to register each day they visit.
General Visiting Hours

Parking
Note: Valet services are temporarily suspended.
Note: Beginning 9/24/18, construction trailers will be moved to the front public parking lot, and fewer surface parking spaces will be available. Parking will continue to be available in the garage, and we have increased valet staff during this time. Thank you!
Visitor parking is free in the east parking lot and parking garage. The Emergency Department entrance is open 24/7 and parking may be accessed from 16th Street.
Valet parking is available free of charge and is available at the main entrance from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tips are not required or accepted.
ATM
An ATM is located just outside the cafeteria entrance.

Wireless Internet
Community Hospital East offers free wireless internet access to patients, families and visitors.
Cell Phone Policy
Cell phones are allowed except in patient treatment areas as their signal could interfere with medical equipment in use.
No Smoking
The hospital and the entire Community Hospital East campus are tobacco-free environments.
Smoking has been shown not only to compromise the health of those who smoke, but others who come into contact with the smoke. Therefore, in keeping with our mission to promote the health, wellness and comfort of our patients and employees, smoking is not permitted.
