Quality Service
Community Hospital Anderson's laboratory has earned full accreditation by the College of American Pathologists (CAP), and the Joint Commission and is licensed by the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act and the Indiana State Board of Health. Services are maintained under the direction of an active member of the medical staff who is certified by the American Board of Pathology in both anatomic and clinical pathology.
Community Anderson's laboratory uses the latest equipment and procedures. Epic Beaker Rover technology gives peace of mind that patients’ results are accurately reported. In-house PCR testing is available around the clock within our microbiology department. Vein Viewer technology assists our phlebotomy team with difficult venipuncture situations.
The laboratory offers "stat" test turnaround times of one hour or less, 24/7, for most of our inpatient tests, along with same-day turnaround times for the majority of outpatient testing.
The Community Hospital Anderson Laboratory performs well over one million tests each year for our hospital patients, our outpatients on and off our hospital campus, as well as many physician offices and long-term care facilities. Emergency and inpatient services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. There are multiple collection site locations available for your convenience. No appointment is needed for laboratory services, although appointments are available. You can receive your results online by signing up for the MyChart patient portal through your Community Physician Network office. Our laboratory also provides electronic reporting of results to our physician practices.
