As a Gold Sponsor of The Giving Gig 2018, the Indy Fuel is hosting “The Giving Weekend,” back-to-back home games that will raise funds for Community Health Network’s cancer patients, help Community’s pediatric patients and also our patients in need of donated blood. On Friday, December 8, the team will host The Giving Game, a special night where all ticket sale proceeds will benefit our Oncology Patient Assistance Fund and Community’s cancer patients and caregivers will be honored. In addition, a pregame blood drive, organized by our partners at the Indiana Blood Center, will provide an additional opportunity for you and fans to give back to help patients in need. The next evening, the team will hit the ice again to help Community’s patients. At the “Teddy Bear Toss,” you and fans will be invited to bring with you a stuffed animal. When the team scores its first goal, everyone will celebrate by tossing the teddy bears onto the rink. They will be collected, cleaned and delivered to various sites at Community and given to pediatric patients. The team will also wear special “Ugly Christmas Sweater” jerseys, all of which will be auctioned that night and proceeds will be designated to the Oncology Patient Assistance Fund.
