Dr. Mathew completed his family medicine residency at Southern Illinois University in Springfield, followed by a fellowship in maternal-child health at PCC/West Suburban Hospital in Oak Park, Illinois. He then moved to Indiana as an assistant professor of clinical family medicine at the IU/Methodist Family Medicine Residency program, a position he held for six years. While there, in 2009, Dr. Mathew developed the Family Medicine Centered Maternity Care Fellowship at IU/Methodist. In 2010, he completed additional professional development through a Faculty Development Fellowship at UNC-Chapel Hill.
He is an associate director of the Community Hospital East Family Medicine Residency Program and medical director for Shadeland Family Care Center.
Dr. Mathew's additional interests include international health and mission trips, fishing and team sports.
