Proper planning and actions this fall will add great benefits to your lawn next year. Fall is the best time to fertilize, either once or twice. Most of the nutrients are stored in the roots for next year. The best time to sow grass seed is mid-August to mid -September. Perennial broadleaf weeds are best attacked in the fall when the chemicals are more likely to kill the roots. The class will cover annual, perennial, grassy and broadleaf weeds and the appropriate herbicides to use.
