Logan Borgelt, MDLogan Borgelt, MD

Hometown: Ottawa-Glandorf, Ohio
Hobbies/Interests: I am excited to become apart of the Community East family and explore a new city in Indianapolis! In my free time I enjoy watching/playing all different types of sports, perusing the local brewery and restaurant scene, and catching up on the most recent Netflix series. My specific interests within family medicine include sports medicine as well as mental health and preventive medicine.

Sydney Brown, DOSydney Brown, DO

Hometown: New Albany, Indiana
Hobbies/Interests: I grew up with four brothers, so my hobbies and interests tend towards the nerdy and the sporty. In my free time, I love playing tabletop and roleplaying games with friends, and from November to April each year I like to watch as much college basketball as humanly possible. My interests within medicine include diabetes and weight management, as well as urgent care. I’m so excited to work with my patients to empower them to live their best and most healthy lives, and I can’t think of anywhere better to do that than Community East Family Medicine Residency!

Hobbies/Interests: I grew up in Northern Indiana, but I moved away for school, so I am excited to move back to my home state and to be a part of the Indianapolis community. I enjoy being with my friends and family, but my favorite part of the week is when I get to take my golden retriever, Charley, to the dog park. My healthcare interests include sports medicine, urgent care and family-centered preventive medicine.

Hobbies/Interests: I am thrilled to make Indy my new home and be part of Community Health Network. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my girlfriend, Chelsea, and our two cats, Hodor and Randy. My hobbies range from sound engineering and playing guitar to woodworking and cooking. My healthcare interests include the prevention and treatment of addiction as well as working with underserved communities. I am incredibly passionate about the treatment of anxiety and depression, as well as making behavioral health more accessible.

Hobbies/Interests: I have been blessed to call Indiana my home for my entire life and I am excited to continue my training here in Indianapolis with Community East. My medical interests include sports medicine, primary care and procedures. Outside of medicine, I am an avid sports fan, specifically Notre Dame Football, Colts, Pacers, track and field, and IndyCar. I also enjoy running, golfing, watching movies / TV shows, playing board games, going to local restaurants and breweries, and spending time with family, friends, my wife Michelle, and our cat Meeko.

Aimee Heerd, DOAimee Heerd, DO, MBE

Hometown: Mount Airy, Maryland
Hobbies/Interests: As a transplant to Indiana, I am thrilled to make this state my home and to serve patients in Indianapolis. My clinical interests are diverse, but I especially enjoy geriatrics and palliative medicine. I spend my free time with my menagerie of pets, and if I had not become a physician, then I probably would have become a veterinarian.

Hobbies/Interests: I am delighted to be part of the family medicine team at Community East and to serve the great people of Indy! You can find my wife and I walking our two large “lap dogs” (rescued Ridgeback and Mastiff mixes) down by the White River canal or the Monon. Of course, we are stopping for coffee and tea at all the local shops. At home we watch shows together, bake or play strategy games. In my free time, I will often be listening to music if I am not playing the piano or drums. My medical interests include preventive medicine and geriatrics.

Hobbies/Interests: I have really enjoyed living in Indianapolis for the past four years and I am excited to continue my medical training here at Community East Family Medicine Residency! I love spending time with my fiancé, friends, and family while eating at new restaurants, taking walks at the local or state parks, and having potlucks. Also, I enjoy trying new recipes, watching home improvement shows, and listening to country music. I look forward to the opportunity to provide primary care for all ages.

Hobbies/Interests: I’m excited to stay in Indy with Community East Family Medicine Program! I have many medical interests including addiction medicine, palliative care and preventive medicine. I love that family medicine allows me to explore all these different areas! In my free time, you’ll find me reading a book, exploring outdoors or in cities, spending time with my family, and working on jigsaw puzzles. However, my truest passion is baking and spreading joy through baked goods!

Hobbies/Interests: In my free time I enjoy working out, Zumba, cooking various Cameroonian dishes, spending time with my husband and other members of my family, and binging on Netflix. My medical interests include woman’s health, preventive medicine and caring for the underserved.
