Circle of Hope, presented by the Indianapolis Colts, is Community Fairbanks Recovery Center’s largest fundraising event of the year. The annual event raises funds to support patient programs at Community Fairbanks Recovery Center, helping more men, women and adolescents who are uninsured or underinsured find a path to recovery. This year's lunch event will again feature faces and voices of those in recovery and aim to raise awareness of substance use disorder and ways to seek help.

Sam QuinonesIn addition to hearing from a keynote speaker, guests will also celebrate the 2024 recipient of the Richard M. Fairbanks Award, Sam Quinones, renowned author and journalist, for exceptional contributions to substance use disorder awareness and recovery efforts. Quinones is a Los Angeles-based freelance journalist, a reporter for 37 years, and author of four acclaimed books of narrative nonfiction, including The Least of Us: True Tales of America and Hope in Images of Quinones' books.the Time of Fentanyl and Meth (2021) and Dreamland: The True Tale of America's Opiate Epidemic (2015). He is a veteran reporter on immigration, gangs, drug trafficking and the border. He is formerly a reporter with the L.A. Times, where he worked for 10 years. Before that, he made a living as a freelance writer residing in Mexico for a decade (1994-2004).

WHAT: Circle of Hope, Community Fairbanks Recovery Center's annual fundraising event to support patient programs. Ticket sales launch in July 2024. A table of eight seats is $1,200 and an individual ticket is $150.

Thank you to all who participated and gave in support of the Circle of Hope 2023! We are so grateful for your generosity at the event, which featured a keynote address from Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch, honored local philanthropist Julie Wood of the Tom & Julie Wood Family Foundation with the 2023 Richard M. Fairbanks Circle of Hope Award and raised more than $160,000 to support patient programs at Community Fairbanks Recovery Center. Relive this special event in the below recap video.
